This system solution joins interior and exterior parts of truck attachment parts in a space-saving turntable approach.

System profile

In this system, all processes for joining truck attachment parts are seamlessly integrated. All relevant process data is seamlessly recorded and linked directly to the part via a laser-engraved DMC code. The approach is based on three robots that are able to efficiently process three parts simultaneously thanks to a space-saving turntable system. Control is via a modern Siemens system with intuitive and user-friendly visualization

Process

The process begins with plasma treatment of the parts, which ensures optimal bonding agent adhesion. Subsequently, one of the part halves is coated with a 2K bonding agent. A robot joins the two halves and fixes them using an ultrasonic welding tool to bridge the curing time. In the final step, each part is laser-marked with a DMC code, which allows for clear traceability.
