We now offer contract manufacturing for 1K PUR foam gaskets. In addition to sample parts, prototypes and small batches, the system can also be used for process development and component development in the field of 1K gaskets. Upon request, we consider not only the actual foaming process, but also upstream and downstream process steps. We use Penguin Foam® 1K PUR foam from Sunstar. Depending on the component material, plasma or laser cleaning can be used for component pretreatment. Thanks to the high proportion of offline programming, new components can be set up quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Foam application production equipment

Our flexible automation system has been specifically developed for prototype production, pre-series production and small-batch production of 1K PUR gaskets:

Processing of large-format components up to 2,000 × 1,500 mm on a stationary fixture table
Processing of smaller components up to 400 × 600 × 300 mm on a 2-station rotary table for shorter cycle times
Automated oven loading via 6-axis robot or manual loading of large components for prototype production
Determination of process parameters and execution of cycle time studies
Transfer of process parameters to series production systems to reduce commissioning times

Foam application components

From simple, flat components to complex 3D geometries, a wide variety of component shapes can be processed with high precision. The robot-guided application head enables maximum flexibility in foam application, while state-of-the-art dispensing technology reliably handles both fine and wide foam beads.
